Rare set of 3 story plates from the late 19th century.
French faience from Choisy le Roi.

Those story plates feature great black transfer details with a blue trim border. Each plate features a different comic scene of Parisian ladies in fancy dresses while in the countryside. A sentence describing the scene is printed at the bottom of the inner part of the plate. The back of the plates reads "Hautain & Boulenger, Choisy le Roi".

Very fine condition overall. None of the plates has major defects. One of them has a small hairline, and three of them have a small chip on the edge, quite common in plates of this age.
